11/29/10 Wyandotte- 23 Richard 15 The Wyandotte Freshman bears won their first game of the season last night, beating Gabriel Richard 23 to 15. The aggressive defensive play of the bears, sparked by the hustle of Tierney Runions, helped us come from behind in the third quarter to take the lead. Once we had the lead, we never looked back! Sydni Pauley ripped down rebounds, while the rest of the bears continued to play pressure defense. The hustle and aggressive play of the bears helped us seal our fist victory of the season! Great Job Girls!!!
11/30/10 Wyandotte- 33 Trenton- 22 Wyandotte Freshman girls beat Trenton last night 33-22. Sydney Green played a strong post game, scoring 9 points and ripping down rebounds. Alyssa Mascia and Mallory Bentley also played strong offensively and defensively. Great Job girls!!
12/3 Wyandotte- 35 Dearborn 37 The Freshman girls lost in a close overtime game against Dearborn. This game was a battle all the way to the end. Our girls took last second shots that rimmed in and out, but we just couldn't get the ball to fall our way. the girls played with a lot of heart and hustled the entire game. Sydni Pauley led the way with strong rebounding and 11 points, followed by sydney Green, who scored 10 points.
12/10 Wyandotte 33 Dearborn 32 The freshman pulled off a great victory over a very aggressive Dearborn Fordson team, winning 33-32. The girls were behind the whole game except for the last three minutes of the game. The girls effort and heart helped them pull ahead. It was the strong defensive play of Mallory Bentley, Sydney Greene, and Teirney Runions that sparked our run! Good job girls!!
12/13 Wyandotte 29- Flat Rock 10 Freshman girls basketball team upset Flat Rock 29-10. Alyssa Mascia took charge of the game scoring 17 points! The smart defensive play of Shayla Langley and Teirney Runions helped us to contain Flat Rock's quick guards. Sabrina Clark, Brittney Mascia, and Sydney Green played very aggresive on the boards pulling down rebound after rebound! This win was a great team effort!!!!
